Lochaber is fortunate in having a thriving traditional music scene and The Lochaber Music School aims to foster in its students an interest in both classical and traditional music.

These two ‘strands’ are brought together on the Music School’s first CD. Digitally recorded locally the CD includes a selection of traditional and classical items performed by young Music School players.

Featuring pupils of the LMS on their very first CD recording, made at Waercolour Music, Ardgour. The CD lasts for approximately 45 minutes and includes a mix of classical and traditional tracks - Purcell's Trumpet Concerto, Eddie MacGuire's Fiddler's Farewell, clarsach solos and duets, Faure's Elegy (cello and piano), Scots fiddle music etc.
